Ex-SEC commissioners discuss expansion
“If the Big Ten takes one school, I don’t think you’ll see significant change from the SEC,” Kramer said. “If you take three, I think there will be discussion. Then you’ve got the Big East on the stage of dissolving (if the Big Ten takes some of its members). If you go to 16, I think you’ll have serious discussions (about SEC ex pansion) and the intensity of those discussions would be very high.”
Schiller agrees that if the Big Ten adds one member, such as Pittsburgh or Rutgers, there will be no dra matic change for the SEC.
