Stephenville alum Jevan Snead’s future is up in the air

Snead threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns, and his team had a lead in the fourth quarter. But Stafford and the Scots won 41-38, Snead’s team giving them probably their toughest test of the season.

Stafford went on to star at Georgia for an easy three years. He was picked No. 1 overall last season by the Detroit Lions. He signed a contract for $72 million. Once more, $72 million.

Snead?

He went to Texas, and he was supposed to back up Vince Young for one season. Then Young went pro. Snead would be the starter.

Only, it didn’t work out that way. The beginning of Snead’s complicated career took hold in the fall of 2006. In December, he transferred to Ole Miss. He would finally be the man.
