Snead’s decision-making looks worse now
The smart thing for Snead would have been for him to return to school for his senior season. Make no mistake, he would have won the starting job over Nathan Stanley and Raymond Cotton by virtue of his experience alone. He would have had an opportunity to silence critics and eradicate doubts by leading a young offense. He could have shown that he had learned a better appreciation for protecting the football and a better grasp of the nuances and strategy of a pro-style passing game.
Snead could have earned a week in Mobile, Ala., and with it, valuable time in front of NFL coaches at the Senior Bowl. In short, he could have increased his value. Instead, Snead clearly got some bad advice and left for the NFL at a time when his stock was deflated.
