Mississippi State received its fifth non-binding, oral commitment for the football recruiting class of 2011 Wednesday when Jermaine Whitehead, a 6-foot, 183-pound defensive back from Amanda Elzy High School in Greenwood, committed to play for the Bulldogs, according to the MSU affiliates for recruiting Web sites ESPN.com, Rivals.com and Scout.com.
