NJ – Childers #15 most likely seat to flip
#15. Mississippi-01 Travis Childers (D) (10)
The good news for Childers: He leads his toughest challenger — state Sen. Alan Nunnelee (R) — even in internal GOP polling. But Republicans believe once Nunnelee becomes better known, he’ll be able to take advantage of the party’s 9 percent generic ballot advantage in the district. Early on, Republicans worried that former Fox News commentator Angela McGlowan (R) would seriously threaten Nunnelee’s shot at the nomination. But they see her as less of a threat after she told a local radio show she favored reporting gun ownership on tax forms. McGlowan has since backpedaled on those comments, but the damage may have already been done.
