PSC commissioner to host ratepayer forums today

Southern District Public Service Commissioner Leonard Bentz and his staff will be available to assist Rratepayers with their utility concerns.

Information on registration for several utility assistance programs such as LIHEAP, Lifeline/LinkUp, Weatherization assistance, Zap the Gap and the No-Call program will be available.

“Because many people do not have the time or money to travel to our offices, I am bringing my office to thepeople,” Bentz said. “We have been able to help a lot of people with not only there utility issues, but also in directing them in to other resources.”

The forums will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today in the Council Chambers at Picayune City Hall, 815 North Beach St., and the Pearl River County Court House, 200 South Main St. in Poplarville.

You do not have to live in the community where the meetings are held to attend.

Commissioner Bentz says that anyone who needs assistance and cannot attend the meetings to call 1-800-356-6429 or e-mail southern.district@psc.state.ms.us.
