Meyer expected to be with Gators for spring practice
GAINESVILLE — For the first time since the fall of 2005, Tim Tebow will not be in a Florida uniform at the start of an organized practice. The Gators opens spring workouts Wednesday while, across the street inside Florida Field, Tebow will work out for NFL scouts earlier in the day.
If ever there was a passing of the guard in Gainesville, Wednesday is the day. Tebow is trying to convince pro teams they should draft him. Meanwhile, John Brantley begins trying to show that he’s ready to lead the Florida program as the new starting quarterback.
