Cohen counting on young arms at State
John Cohen promised his second Mississippi State baseball squad would look a lot different than his first.
For good reason, too. The Bulldogs went 25-29 overall last season and didn’t come close to qualifying for the SEC Tournament, struggling to a 9-20 finish in league play.
Cohen wanted immediate help, and he went out and got it.
Particularly on the mound, where the former MSU slugger plans to build through recruiting high school talent.
“We’ll run six freshman arms out there, that’s very unique,” Cohen said. “Teams in the SEC don’t normally do that.
