Son of Saban Rule will kill the coach-in-waiting

Nick Saban and Will Muschamp are a lot alike. Saban inspired an NCAA rule. It was probably only a matter of time before his protege did the same.
The Saban Rule — not its official designation but a tribute to its inspiration — prevents head football coaches from hitting the road during the spring evaluation period.
That makes it harder to bump into the wrong person at the wrong time.
But that’s old news. A new twist, which passed in January and took effect with zero public fanfare, came out of Texas this week.
