Holdout prep recruits garner plenty of attention
Florida and Texas are expected to win big today when college football’s signing period starts, but a handful of holdouts could make things interesting for everyone else.
Marcus Lattimore gave South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier an early gift Tuesday when he said he would choose the Gamecocks over Auburn.
“I have a great opportunity to go in there and play early,” said Lattimore, a USA TODAY All-USA running back from Byrnes (Duncan, S.C.) who ran for 1,898 yards and 31 touchdowns last season.
