MIM can’t beileve the DCCC attacked Nunnelee on a his tobacco tax increase vote

It actually looks like they are going to try to attack him from the right saying that he broke the “Taxpayer Protection” pledge he signed with Americans for Tax Reform. One of those areas where they are attacking Nunnelee is for his support of the tax on hospitals (or hospital assessment) to help fund Medicaid. That criticism is not surprising.

However, the fact that they chose to include Nunnelee’s support for last year’s cigarette tax in the press release is just baffling to me. To be fair, it was included in the ‘background’ section of the press release, but I never thought I would see Democrats criticize someone for supporting a tobacco tax hike. I also never thought I would see the Democrats put so much stock into what ATR has to say.
