Lane Kiffin hasn’t coached a game as Southern California’s head football coach, but he already has a significant victory. So far, he has been able to keep outgoing coach Pete Carroll’s recruiting class intact.
Tuesday, Proviso West (Hillsville, Ill.) wide receiver Kyle Prater, considered the No. 3 player by Rivals.com, enrolled in classes at USC. Tuesday night, Dillon Baxter from Mission Bay (San Diego), told the San Diego Tribune he intended to enroll next week.
