Al Franken and Roger Wicker connect over SNL/comedy talk

Once he found himself talking about the comic talents of Jack Benny with one senator.

The conversation was joined by U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, Republican from Mississippi, because Wicker thought that they were talking about “Saturday Night Live” and is a fan of the show’s political humor, explained Franken.

Next the group was joined by U.S. Sen. Jack Thune, Republican from South Dakota, who does an “amazingly good (Ross) Perot” impression, Franken explained.

Visited the Republican side

Once during a series of votes, Franken left the Democratic side of the Senate floor and crossed over to less populated Republican side.
