NFL scouts believe both Alabama’s Mark Ingram, a Heisman Trophy frontrunner, and Auburn’s Ben Tate have a future in their league.
“I think the Alabama running back is a little bit better,” said Gil Brandt, the longtime Dallas Cowboys player personnel director and a current draft analyst. “But (Tate’s) going to have a career in professional ball. I like them both.”
