Grant, Fox ready to revive SEC programs amid league’s hype

Somewhat lost amid the hubbub of John Calipari leaving Memphis for Kentucky this season was the arrival in the Southeastern Conference of two other coaches who hope to transfer the success they found at mid-major programs to schools that have fallen on hard times:
Anthony Grant took Virginia Commonwealth of the Colonial Athletic Association to NCAA tournaments in 2007 and 2009 and takes over an Alabama team that missed March Madnesst the last three seasons under Mark Gottfried.

Mark Fox made Nevada a force in the Western Athletic Conference made the NCAA tournament in 2005-07 and now hopes to rebuild a Georgia team that failed to finish over .500 in the league in six years under Dennis Felton.
