Too good: No school wants Boise to come visit

Boise State is trying to schedule a road game against a BCS opponent—with no home game in return—in 2011 but hasn’t been able to get any takers.
Western Athletic Conference commissioner Karl Benson told the Idaho Statesman he figures as many as 10 schools have turned down requests to play the Broncos. Benson said ESPN has been trying to help Boise State shop for a game.
“They’re running into a situation where nobody will schedule them, nobody will take them,” Benson told the newspaper.
Benson also said the WAC has hired an Idaho public relations firm to do some research and arrange media interviews to help push Boise State’s BCS case this season. The WAC hired a public-relations firm to push for Hawaii’s inclusion in 2007, he said.
“We’re trying to establish a message,” Benson said.
