Is This the Year of the Quarterback Meltdown?
The NFL has sculpted its rule books to bolster the success of its diva position: quarterback. But this season, a sizeable portion of the men under center are experiencing monumental meltdowns.
At the NFL’s half-way mark, nine quarterbacks, nearly a third of the league, have thrown more interceptions than touchdown passes. Twelve games have seen quarterbacks record a passer rating of 30 or worse, the most at this point in the season since at least 2000.
