Eagles work to bring halt to road woes
Southern Miss has found a wide variety of ways to lose each of its four road games this season.
•Trailing by just a touchdown, the Golden Eagles failed to capitalize on four possessions late in a 35-28 loss at Kansas.
•The 30-17 loss at UAB included mistakes in nearly every phase and a season-ending injury for quarterback Austin Davis.
•Leading 23-22 with 2:13 left, USM gave up a 64-yard kickoff return to set up a short field goal in a 25-23 Louisville victory.
