Is It Time for the NFL to Ban Domes?

The key to success in the National Football League so far this season isn’t a soft schedule, a genius coach or a high-octane pass rush. It’s a roof.
In the early going, the nine NFL teams whose stadiums have roofs are a combined 30-19 this season. The Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts are undefeated, and the Atlanta Falcons, another dome team, are 3-0 at home.
These teams are doing it with fast, precise and potent offenses that rank among the best in the NFL. The 5-0 Saints, who obliterated the previously undefeated New York Giants 48-27 Sunday, lead the league in points per game (38.4) and are on pace to break the record for points in a season, held by the 2007 New England Patriots.
