Great Scott: Ole Miss freshman emerges with two TDs
OXFORD – Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt began preparing freshman tailback Rodney Scott for a bigger role prior to the Rebels’ Sept. 24 game at South Carolina.
Saturday night Scott, a 5-foot-8, 195-pound speedster from Cross City, Fla., had his coming out party with nine carries for 57 yards and two touchdowns.
While Scott began to work his way into the game plan some time ago, it was just this week that he passed senior Cordera Eason on the depth chart.
