Shackleford living up to billing
On a recruiting call last year, Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt listened to a high school coach describe his senior linebacker as the best player, best person and hardest worker he had ever coached.
And honestly, the information went in one ear and right out the other.
“You hear that stuff often,” Nutt said.
But it wasn’t long after linebacker D.T. Shackelford arrived on the Ole Miss campus that Nutt became a believer.
Only three games into his college career, Shackelford has emerged as one of the Rebels’ most exciting playmakers.
