We’ve seen it time and time again — NFL teams pass on a player on draft day for one reason or another. Whether it’s size or character or injury issues, team after team passes and that player falls down the chart.
Two such players — Saints QB Drew Brees, who actually dropped out of the first round because some teams thought he was too small, and Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, whose injuries at Oklahoma made teams look past his obvious skills — put on quite a show Sunday.
