Progress for Mississippi website goes live

By: Magnolia Tribune - August 21, 2009

Progress for Mississippi launched its new website this week. This is seen as another step in the organization of the Bill Luckett campaign for governor to run as a Democrat.

It’s mission statement reads . . .

To receive contributions from persons interested in promoting the political objectives of the Progress for Mississippi and provide fundraising events for the benefit of Democratic candidates.

To move beyond politics as usual in Mississippi and build new and strong coalitions of support for progressive causes.

To be a strong advocate for electing progressive Democratic statewide candidates in Mississippi in 2011.

To provide a public forum for discussing, sharing and advancing progressive ideas.

The site features various issue statements and a bio of Luckett.
