Miss. State’s Mullen: Dogs ‘pretty good’
STARKVILLE — Heading into his team’s first preseason practice, Mississippi State football coach Dan Mullen hoped his team wouldn’t lose what it learned in the spring.
Once that two-and-a-half-hour practice ended today, he said his mission was accomplished.
“I thought they came out and did a pretty good job of that, and grasping what was going on out there,” Mullen said.
State’s returning players practiced in the midday heat; the newcomers worked out starting at 5:30 in the morning. The team will practice for the first time together Tuesday night at 6:15.
