I conducted a couple of good interviews – good because of the subject matter, not because of me – this afternoon. MSU safeties coach Tony Hughes spoke with me about sophomore strong safety Charles Mitchell, who was my second interview. I’m writing a feature on Mitchell for this weekend.
First, a word from Hughes on Mitchell, who he called a “foundational” guy as coach Dan Mullen tries to build a winner: “He pushes the limit and raises the standard. That’s what Coach Mullen was talking about, what guys are going to do to handle it, and not only handle it, but take it to the next level so we as a team can take it to the next level.
