Before Friday’s Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony, there was a 90-minute meet-and-greet where the inductees mingled with those in attendance.
It was a coat-and-tie affair, but the atmosphere was anything but stuffy. In fact, once it was time to herd the 550 guests from the reception to the dining room of the sold out Jackson Hilton, the scene resembled more of a rowdy bar than a formal ceremony.
