It’s never too early to make some football predictions … right?

There are 101 days until Mississippi State’s football team opens the 2009 season/Dan Mullen Era against Jackson State on Sept. 5. That’s too long, in my opinion, but that’s the cold reality of college football: A ton of waiting that begets hype and media attention disproportionate to the length of the season and the length of the games.
So allow me to add some fuel to the hype machine.

I was going to write a “101 Things” type column, but that would put you to sleep (and make the newspaper’s desk guys want to flog me with barbed wire). So we’ll keep it at a nice, round “10 Things.”
