Nation’s largest bridge card playing organization moving to Mississippi

The nation’s largest bridge card playing organization is moving its headquarters from Memphis to Horn Lake.

The American Contract Bridge League, which has more than 160,000 members nationally, is making a $3 million investment in the move.

The not-for-profit organization has an annual budget of $18 million with 170 traveling tournament directors. The group supports 3,200 bridge clubs worldwide and 1,100 bridge tournaments annually.

Gov. Haley Barbour, who was originally scheduled to fly to Horn Lake and speak at the company’s announcement, had his flight grounded due to overcast skies.
