A Senate committee voted today to allow Mississippi Department of Transportation executive director Butch Brown to keep his job, despite concerns about his support of a killer’s parole, accusations of excessive spending and questions over his leadership style.
Thirteen members of the Senate Highways and Transportation Committee supported Brown. Four voted against him, and two were not at the meeting.
