Ex-UM football star settles suit
OXFORD — Former NFL fullback and Ole Miss starter Rick Razzano reached an unspecified settlement today with a brother and sister suing him for allegedly beating them up in 2004.
The agreement was reached during a short break while lawyers were picking a jury for the civil trial.
Rick Razzano, 28, who was suspended by the NFL for four games in 2005 for admittedly using steroids, was accused of knocking Paul Meyers unconscious and continuing to hit him while he was unconscious. Razzano got suspended by Ole Miss for its 2004 home opener against Memphis for the alleged attack on Meyers.
