Mullen’s first camp brings many changes
STARKVILLE – All new coaches bring with them a good amount of change. Dan Mullen has brought a lot of change to Mississippi State football.
A lot.
It’s more like a complete overhaul, and yet there are some old, familiar parts being utilized.
It’s been evident during spring drills, and it was all on display this past weekend.
The most celebrated change, of course, is the spread offense Mullen directed at Florida. It possesses no magical powers – don’t expect MSU to be throwing up 40 points a game this fall – but it’s a most welcome change from Sylvester Croom’s unproductive, ill-managed West Coast “attack,” which was more like an assault with Styrofoam hammers.
