GAINESVILLE, FLA. — No. 16 Ole Miss got several key plays to defeat No. 20 Florida 5-3 in a game shortened to eight innings by the SEC’s travel curfew.
The Rebels (28-11, 11-7 SEC) picked up the win behind the pitching of Scott Bittle and Jake Morgan and some key at bats off the Gators (26-14, 10-8) to take two of three in the series.
Bittle (4-2) picked up the win as he worked 6 innings and allowed three runs on six hits with six walks and eight strikeouts. Morgan picked up his fifth save of the season with two scoreless innings.
