Jordan Jefferson is promising a show come Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
Certainly, as the 5 p.m. Spring Game unfolds in Tiger Stadium, LSU football fans thirst to see just that from Jefferson, who in LSU’s final two games flashed the sizzle that was lacking at the quarterback position for much of the season.
“When the spring game comes, we’re going to put on a show for everybody,” Jefferson said.
This will be Jefferson’s first spring game. At this time a year ago, he was finishing his senior year at Destrehan High School.
And at this time a year ago, Andrew Hatch and Jarrett Lee quarterbacked in the game, while Ryan Perrilloux, the star in waiting, was suspended.
Perrilloux was kicked off the team soon after and transferred to Jacksonville State. Hatch began the year as the starter but played little down the stretch because of injuries and has subsequently transferred back to Harvard. And Lee, who showed flashes of brilliance in his redshirt year, was nevertheless plagued by interceptions returned for touchdowns.
