Twenty-five reasons I still love sports
It’s the lucky man who gets paid to do his dream job. I knew I wanted to be a sportswriter since I was 10 years old. The epiphany occurred in Little League, when I saw my first curveball and bailed out of the batter’s box so quickly you’d have thought my uniform was on fire.
I knew right then I’d never play center field for the Cubs.
Fortunately, my passion for sports found an outlet in my desire to write. For 25 years now, I’ve had the privilege of enjoying my job every single day.
