55th time, and still a joy (Great piece on Augusta National)

AUGUSTA, Ga. A few years ago, during a Masters practice round, an acquaintance of mine spread her husband’s ashes – surreptitiously, of course – on a grassy hillside down at Amen Corner, overlooking the 11th and 12th holes of Augusta National Golf Club.
Lucky dog, that fellow, lying there with all those memories swirling like the wind, with all those spirits hovering about and all that beauty to look at.

I can’t beat that, but I figure I have the next best thing, as good as it gets without making an ash of myself.
