The Clarion Ledger ran a quick blurb this afternoon saying that Michael Recio’s attorney, Cynthia Stewart, had compelled the Government to follow its own rules on subsequent proseuctions.
In her motion, Cynthia Stewart, attorney for former bodyguard Michael Recio, said the policy bars successive prosecutions without approval by top Justice Department officials. There was no immediate response by federal prosecutors to the motion.
