A toss back in time: ‘Harvard Beats Yale 29-29’ (Great piece)
“Harvard Beats Yale 29-29” was the nonsensical headline from the Harvard Crimson of Nov. 25, 1968, describing what some consider the most dramatic final minute in college football history.
Which wouldn’t mean much here in March, especially among those who witnessed “the Play” in 1982, had not a Harvard junior named Kevin Rafferty been in the stands. Rafferty became a documentary filmmaker and developed a hunch that the Game tape could be used as a set piece to discuss the major student issues of that cataclysmic year, 1968.
