NCAA bracket expert says forget Auburn, UAB
The Southeastern Conference basketball season finally got here, on Tuesday night when the second-largest crowd of the season showed up in Tuscaloosa to watch Alabama and Auburn.
Of course, the cynic would argue that the majority of the 13,265 on hand were there for the presentation of the Iron Bowl trophy to Nick Saban and the Alabama football team.
I prefer to take a more optimistic approach. I prefer to think that Alabama basketball fans recognized the Crimson Tide’s three-game winning streak, and Auburn fans were excited about the Tigers’ sudden emergence as a real contender in this crazy college basketball season.
