Slow winter for SEC-aholics

I walked into the room where folding chairs were positioned in a circle, grabbed a doughnut and took my seat. When they got to me, I said it without shame, but it felt good to get it out.
“My name is Pat.”
“Hi Pat.”
“And I’m an SEC-aholic.”
OK, so I just imagined this scenario, but maybe there needs to be a support group for guys like me. We see the world through passionate glasses (or in my case progressive lenses) and will defend the conference even when we know we’re wrong.
If Arkansas and Auburn are playing hoops on the tube, we’re watching. We root for SEC teams in bowl games, March Madness, the College World Series, even in swim meets.

We are addicts.
