Options abound in Reb playbook
OXFORD — With Ole Miss nursing an eight-point lead during the third quarter of last Saturday’s 31-13 victory at LSU, the Rebels had the football on the Tigers’ 13-yard line and badly needed another touchdown to create a bigger advantage.
Looking at his playbook, Ole Miss offensive coordinator Kent Austin certainly had plenty of options.
There was Jevan Snead, the quarterback who’s thrown for 17 touchdowns, rushed for three more and is the third highest-rated passer in the Southeastern Conference.
There was Dexter McCluster, he of the 1,025 total yards and five touchdowns.
