SEC honors MSU’s Dixon

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State running back Anthony Dixon was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the SEC office announced today.

Dixon, a 6-foot-1, 238-pounder, rushed for a career-best 179 yards on 23 carries in Mississippi State’s win against Arkansas on Saturday. The junior also pulled in five receptions for 32 yards and scored touchdowns on a pair of those receptions. Dixon also had a 63-yard touchdown rush late in the third quarter.
