Hello, November. This is when it gets fun. Let’s get right to this week’s Five Thoughts:
1. OK, I admit it. I was wrong
I’m having a difficult time speaking clearly this week due to the giant foot lodged in my mouth. Yes, last week I used this very space to predict an upset; an upset that did not come true. I had Tennessee waking up out of its year-long coma, rallying behind the words (and perhaps the job security) of its longtime coach, and avenging an embarrassing 41-17 loss suffered last season in Tuscaloosa. Well, I was wrong. And wow, did the readers let me know. Never has an inbox been filled with so many “I told you so’s.” Hey, I deserved it. When you talk a big game, you’ve got to deal with the repercussions.
