Are we seeing a change of guard in AFC South?
While the Colts came to LP Field in an unaccustomed catch-up role, they certainly didn’t play like a team that limped out of the gate with a 3-3 record.
The Colts and Titans bring out the best, and worst, in each other.
The Titans had everything in their favor. They had no blemishes on their record after six games. They were center stage for Monday Night Football, the NFL’s marquee attraction. They could step on Indy’s air hose — if only for the moment.
While there is an ample amount of football left in this season, the game served as a glimpse into the future.
Is the Colts’ window of opportunity to gain another Super Bowl trophy closing? Or, is the Titans’ window of opportunity opening for bigger, brighter things in the NFL pecking order?
“We made a statement,” Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck said after Monday night’s 31-21 victory. “We’re holding down the AFC South. Print that.”
