If losing continues, Bielema better watch out (Wisconsin)
The University of Wisconsin opened the football season ranked in the top 15 of every major poll and eventually climbed into the top 10 after a 3-0 start. It looked like another successful season for the Badgers under coach Bret Bielema.
But since that 3-0 start, the Badgers have taken a turn for the worse. After leading Michigan 19-0 at halftime in the “Big House,” the Badgers have played football reminiscent of those “glory” days with Don Morton running the team from the sideline.
If you didn’t see that era, lucky you.
Before Saturday’s 27-17 win against Illinois, Wisconsin had been outscored 133-46 (14 quarters) since the start of the second half at Michigan and had lost four straight games. Forget the Rose Bowl or any other respected bowl. If the Badgers can regroup, they’ll be headed to one of those bowls where you didn’t even know it existed.
