SEC head coaches were schooled by humble beginnings

Tommy Tuberville painted bus benches in Miami and worked as a janitor on the cruise ships.
Nick Saban worked the graveyard shift at Rodeway trucking and drove a Coca-Cola truck.

Tuberville remembers foraging through the ashtray in his car, which was loaded with half his worldly possessions, for some spare change to buy a burger.
Saban recalls how he and wife Terry lived on a menu of peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches, beans-and-wieners, tomato soup and grilled cheese, spaghetti and meat sauce.
