PARRISH ALFORD:Happy homecoming? Nutt will see Saturday

OXFORD – I make it down to Denham Springs, La., about twice a year, and when I do, I stand in awe of Bass Pro.
I look around at Starbucks and Picadilly and other newcomers to the area around the I-12 exit and wish they’d have been around when I was in town. I’m glad, however, that the traffic wasn’t around.

Home is different, but I still feel welcome.

Houston Nutt says he doesn’t know how he’ll feel when he goes home Saturday as the Ole Miss football coach in his highly anticipated – at least here and in Arkansas – return to Razorback Stadium.
Nutt was 75-48 at Arkansas and coached the Razorbacks to eight bowl games, three solo or shared SEC West titles and two trips to the league’s championship game in Atlanta.
He says he doesn’t know how he’ll be received by Arkansas fans on Saturday night.
Here’s a guess. Nutt will be received with some form of gratitude by many Razorbacks fans. Those fans may or may not express appreciation with cheers and applause.
