Republican U.S. Senate candidate Roger Wicker has received $5.26 million in campaign contributions.
Democratic candidate Ronnie Musgrove’s quarterly finance report had not been filed Wednesday, but his campaign said it would meet the midnight deadline for postmarking it.
The candidates in the much-talked-about race were required to file October quarterly finance reports with the Federal Election Commission, which required the reports be postmarked by Wednesday.
Wicker’s report showed the interim senator raised $1.15 million in the three-month period since the end of June and the campaign still has about $1.66 million on hand.
