REBELS:Nutt hopes team stays grounded

OXFORD – First-year Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt has spent this entire season trying to get the Rebels up.
Now he has to keep them level.

Ole Miss players are trying not to over-enjoy a 31-30 win at No. 4 Florida, their first SEC victory since the regular season finale in 2006.

It is homecoming at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as South Carolina visits for a 1 p.m. non-televised game.
The Rebels (3-2, 1-1 SEC) haven’t won back-to-back conference games since 2004.
“Coach has put a big emphasis on telling the team that right now we need to get ready for South Carolina,” end Greg Hardy said. “Florida is in the past.”
Hundreds of fans met the team upon its return at both the Tupelo airport and the football building on campus.
It was the first SEC road win and first win against a ranked opponent since the Rebels won at then-No. 25 South Carolina on Oct. 9, 2004.
