It’s Todd and Burns, together again at Auburn
Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin said head coach Tommy Tuberville “made the call” to get Kodi Burns more practice time this week. That delighted the fans and helped Auburn beat Tennessee 14-12 Saturday when Burns made his first appearance since the second game of the year, and when he connected on a big third-down pass late in the game that allowed the Tigers to play keep-away from the Vols.
“He felt like we needed a boost,” Franklin said.
Tuberville said he’d look at the quarterback situation again this week between Burns and Chris Todd. He said the offense “made a tremendous amount of mistakes” and lamented the fact that the Tigers didn’t rush for 100 yards for the second straight game.
