One thing that I have to give credit to is how the DNC/liberal blog communities came together for the Big Tent in Denver.
The Republican Convention’s facilities for bloggers were . . . well, they were non-existent. The RNC missed a major opportunity to coalesce conservative thinkers and provide exposure to each other and real policy makers within the party. As someone who had credentials, I can say without fear of contradiction that the bloggers were treated like crap.
Google, who promised big things for both conventions chickened out of the RNC saying they could not find a partner for the RNC. They had a booth (with no internet access) that was about 6’x12′. When I asked them why at the RNC, they said they were not allowed to comment on it locally, but that the press people at Google. could respond.
Thanks a Yahoo!, Google.
